Dania Saavedra, born in Havana, Cuba, attended the University of Miami where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English in 1994.  After receiving her Bachelor of Arts, Dania attended St. Thomas University School of Law and received her Juris Doctor in 1997.  She is admitted to practice before the Florida Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

 

Dania focuses her practice on complex commercial and business litigation, with a primary focus on construction litigation and insurance defense in conjunction with insurance coverage issues. Mrs. Saavedra’s broad range of experience includes representing general contractors, subcontractors, project owners, developers, design professionals, and materials manufacturers in transactions and disputes many of which have involved extremely complex issues in the areas of construction defects and deficiencies relating to residential and commercial construction, construction defects, delay claims, construction liens, mold and mildew claims and insurance coverage issues.

 

She is a fully bilingual attorney who has experience litigating matters in both state and federal courts in Florida.  Dania has successfully handled matters through trial in various areas of business disputes, including actions involving construction, breach of contract, insurance, employment discrimination, breach of fiduciary duty, mold litigation, and real estate matters.
