| Jason graduated cum laude from Tulane University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in both Business Management and Legal Studies in Business. Jason then earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law, graduating cum laude in 2007. As a student at the University of Miami, Jason was a member of the Charles C. Papy, Jr. Moot Court Board and served on the Executive Board as the 2006 Negotiation Competition Vice-President. Additionally, he won the 2005 Fall Advanced Moot Court Competition and he was a finalist in a 2006 American Bar Association Regional Negotiation Competition. Jason was also awarded Honors in the Litigation Skills Program.
Jason is admitted to practice in the states of Florida, New Jersey and Pennsylvania as well as the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. The focus of his practice includes business litigation, real property litigation, professional malpractice defense and other complex commercial litigation. Prior to joining Kaplan Zeena LLP, Jason gained valuable litigation experience as an associate in the Miami office of a large firm where the focus of his practice included medical and professional malpractice defense, premises liability defense, and commercial litigation. Additionally, Jason gained valuable experience as both a law clerk and associate at a boutique law firm that specializes in community association and real estate law as well as worldwide logistics/transportation and insurance law. During law school, Jason was a Certified Legal Intern with the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office, successfully trying several cases before a jury.
Jason is actively involved in the community with a variety of organizations. He was a committee member for The Miami Jewish Legal Society’s Inaugural Judicial Cocktail Reception in 2009 which honored U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Robert Mark and Eleventh Circuit Judge Maxine Cohen Lando.
