| After receiving her Bachelor of Arts with honors from the University of Florida in 1986, Nanci attended Columbia University Law School. While at Columbia, she was named a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar in both her second and third years. Although Nanci received offers from several large New York Law Firms upon receiving her Juris Doctor in 1989, she chose to return to South Florida. After several years working at large national law firms, Nanci opened her own firm in 1995, where she was the managing partner until 2007. In October 2007, Nanci became a partner at the newly formed firm of Kaplan Zeena LLP.
Throughout her more than twenty years of being a lawyer, Nanci has concentrated in the areas of commercial, business, securities and insurance litigation. She has handled matters as diverse Lanham Act claims in a legal malpractice matter to defending brokerage firms in FINRA arbitrations. Nanci also has considerable experience in shareholder disputes, noncompete agreements, real estate litigation, construction litigation, accountant liability, insurance agent liability, insurance coverage issues, business torts including tortious interference and fraud, and breach of employment contracts.
Nanci has several published cases and has lectured forensic accountants on testifying as expert witnesses.
